CCTV cameras to be installed in Karnataka court premises

Taking exception to the delay in installing CCTV cameras in the District Court premises, District in-Charge Secretary Mohammed Mohsin has directed PWD officials to take steps to set up the cameras. Mr. Mohsin’s instruction has taken significance after a shoot-out at the court premises recently, when the criminal, Bagappa Harijan, was shot at by an unknown assailant. After the shoot-out, advocates boycotted court proceedings protesting against the failure of the district administration to install CCTV cameras in the premises. Chairing a review meeting , he told officials not to delay.
