CNL Software acquired by Everbridge Inc

CNL Software Ltd., a leader in physical security information management (PSIM) software, has been acquired by Everbridge, Inc., the leading global provider of critical event management (CEM) software. More than a decade ago, CNL set out to create a PSIM platform to transform the way organizations manage their security. Everbridge is a global public company that pioneered the CEM industry to help organizations keep people safe and businesses running. Today, over 950 employees serve over 5,000 enterprise customers, which ultimately touch over 550 million people worldwide.

A company announcement said that CNL and Everbridge are both singularly focused on customer success and together they would strengthen their ability to provide market leading innovation and integrations across CEM and PSIM.

With the number of IoT devices expected to approach 75 billion by 2025, the Everbridge CEM platform will help organizations utilize the vast amount of electronic data including IoT sensors to digitally transform how they manage the security of their people and the resiliency of their operations.

Leveraging Everbridge CEM for IoT, states, cities and municipalities will be able to manage across millions of sensors to better protect their citizens and streamline operations. Businesses will be able to gather a broader range of situational intelligence in order to activate targeted responses across their entire security continuum – from outside their perimeter to within a building’s four walls.
