Fire & Safety Assn of India launches Raipur Sub-Chapter

Fire & Safety Association of India (FSAI), a non-profit organisation, has announced installation of its Raipur Sub-Chapter. A non-profit organisation established in 2002 representing the Fire Protection, Life Safety, Security, Building Automation, Loss Prevention and Risk Management domains, FSAI also held a training workshop at National Institute of Technology (NIT). FSAI Raipur Sub-Chapter Joint Secretary Aditi Patel and FSAI member Deepak Sanodiya, in a press conference, talked about their aims and objectives.

They have three main objectives, “Fostering a spirit of safe living among all citizens of India and inculcate a proactive mindset towards safety and security at all times, Promote and Advance the use of fire safety and security systems, and Development of fire safety and security engineering education and awareness. FSAI has the vision to establish life safety and security as the important human obligation in the economic development of the country and use this as an index for future investments and growth of the nation to become a world leader.

The Training programme at NIT will have lessons on precautionary measures to prevent fire and live mock drill with fire engines. The installation programme will primarily be attended by DK Shami, Fire Advisor to Government of India, SK Dheri, Chairman NBC Part-IV & Group Head (Fire Safety) DLF Ltd, Director General of Jail and Correctional Services & Home Guards Giridhari Nayak and Naya Raipur Development Authority (NRDA) Chief Engineer Shailesh Shrivastava.
