Minister and two Joint Secretaries to attend FICCI event

The Private Security Industry Conclave themed “Policy Change for a Sustainable Future” is being organized by FICCI on November 01, 2014 in New Delhi. It is perhaps for the first time that a minister from the Union Ministry of Home Affairs along with two Joint Secretaries from relevant departments shall be attending an event concerning the Rs. 30,000 Crore manned guarding industry of India to listen and participate in the focused deliberations on the PSAR Act, Arms Licensing and recognition of security guards as skilled workers. This clearly establishes the serious intent of the current government. Sh. Kiren Rijiju, Hon’ble Union Minister of State for Home Affairs, Sh. Bhagwan Shankar, IAS, Joint Secretary JS-II and Sh. V. Vunlunmang, IAS Joint Secretary Police Modernisation, also handling PSARA have confirmed their presence. SECURITY TODAY is the Official Media partner for this prestigious event.
