UBM India successfully hosts Security and Fire Expo 2015 (SAFE) at Chennai

UBM India, host of IFSEC India, held the ‘Security and Fire Expo 2015’ at the Chennai Trade Centre from July 1-3. Industry leaders Mr. GB Singh, of The Security Today Group of publications, Mr Ashish Dhakan of Prama Hikvision, Mr. Ilyas Zargar of Aditya Infotech, Mr. Nanda Kumar of ESAI, and Mr. Yogesh Mudras of UBM India, participated in the Lighting of the Lamp ceremony to inaugurate the show. The three-day trade show was supported by the Electronic Security Association of India (ESAI). SAFE 2015, in addition to bringing together the security and fire safety industry in the region, provided an industry platform for organisations to capitalise the potential of South India security market while showcasing global industry trends and innovations.

The security and fire safety market in India is witnessing a radical growth. Increasing at 30% per year, the Indian commercial security market is expected to surpass a value of US $1.4 billion by 2016. The combination of government initiatives, increasing awareness regarding fire safety and security, asset management and enhanced implementation and compliance with state level regulations has further fuelled the market’s growth.
