ACRE acquires Communications Technologies specialist ComNet

ACRE, LLC, the holding company that owns Vanderbilt Industries, Mercury Security and Access Control Technology (ACT), announced on Tuesday that it has acquired video and data transmission equipment manufacturer Communications Networks (ComNet), based in Danbury, Conn. In a statement, ACRE said that ComNet’s complementary range of communication technologies will be leveraged across its access control, intrusion, video surveillance and cloud-based product portfolios.ComNet offers a wide array of fiber optic, copper and wireless video and data transmission solutions that are designed to meet the needs of security and surveillance in the intelligent transportation, utility and industrial market.
