ADT promotes COO Jim DeVries to President

ADT, the leader in security and automation solutions for homes and businesses in North America, has just named Jim DeVries as President. DeVries, who previously served as ADT’s Chief Operating Officer, will continue to report to ADT Chief Executive Officer, Tim Whall.
DeVries joined ADT in May 2016 from Allstate, where he last served as the Executive Vice President, Allstate Brand Operations, responsible for leading a team of over 7,000 people.

In this new role, Jim will be responsible for ADT’s sales and marketing efforts, installation and field service, customer care and support, business operations, national account operations, human resources, and ADT’s nationwide authorised dealer network.

“Jim’s leadership style and experience in large, complex organisations has made a significant impact on the ADT turnaround since joining our organization last May,” said Tim Whall, Chief Executive Officer of ADT. “We’re growing our business by retaining our current customer base, acquiring new customers more effectively, delivering upon our customer experience promise, and managing the daily business to improve operational efficiency – all the components that will create our winning formula. I’m confident in Jim’s ability to successfully lead the company, execute our plans, accelerate our growth, and make ADT an even stronger leader in the marketplace.”
