Texas House approves open carry bill

Weeks after the Senate passed a pair of open carry bills, the Texas House of Representatives has passed another bill allowing handgun owners to carry weapons in a shoulder or hip holster. It passed 101-42 with several amendments on its third reading and now heads to the Senate. Twenty-two amendments were proposed for the bill. Three were withdrawn, and the rest were tabled.
