Col. Shekhar Attri (Retd.) has moved from Pratt & Whitney to Collins Aerospace, where he has taken on the role of APAC Regional Security Leader, overseeing security strategy and operations across the Asia-Pacific region.
At Collins Aerospace, a subsidiary of RTX Corporation, Attri will lead and manage comprehensive regional security programs aimed at safeguarding employees, assets, operations, and corporate reputation. His responsibilities include providing strategic direction on regional risk management and overseeing multiple corporate security disciplines, including physical security, incident response, compliance, and business continuity across diverse countries and operational environments in Asia Pacific.
Prior to this transition, Attri served as Head of India Security Services at Pratt & Whitney, where he was part of the Global Security Services team supporting multiple sites in India while also consulting for APAC locations. During his tenure, he established the India Security Services function from the ground up across three sites, securing more than 200,000 sq. ft. of facilities and over 1,200 employees, enabling the company’s safe operational expansion.
He conducted detailed risk assessments that identified 35 critical assets and 60 risk vectors, implementing mitigation plans that reduced potential threat exposure by nearly 70 percent. Attri also authored and rolled out seven security policies—four internal and three global—which significantly strengthened compliance and helped reduce policy-related security incidents by 84 percent within a year. In addition, he led the deployment of networked security systems across multiple sites, achieving 39 percent cost savings while establishing scalable security infrastructure.
Attri is an active participant in professional security forums including OSAC, ASIS International, FSAI, and ACSG.
Headquartered in Charlotte, North Carolina, Collins Aerospace is among the world’s largest suppliers of technologically advanced aerospace and defense solutions, delivering integrated systems for commercial aviation, defense, and space applications.
