ASIS New Delhi Chapter holds its AGM

The Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the ASIS New Delhi Chapter 207 was conducted online on Friday, 27th November. The AGM was attended by 92 participants. Manish Datta, welcomed all the participants to the AGM and after speaking out the agenda, invited Mr. Godfried Hendriks, CPP – ASIS International President 2020 to deliver the keynote address to the chapter community.

Mr. Hendriks emphasised the importance of appreciating and being grateful for what we have in the current challenging times and also shared how ASIS International HQ had to alter their overall plans and strategy because of the challenging environment. Mr. Hendriks also spoke how ASIS Grants Foundation has been assisting professionals who were impacted through their grants programs.

Maj Paul Devassy, RVP Region 13, in his address emphasised on the true values of volunteering and requested more women professionals to step up and take up volunteer positions within the ASIS India Chapters and bring in diversity and inclusivity. Mr. Diwakar Nath Pandey, Chapter Vice Chair highlighted glimpses of the chapter activities in 2020; extract of which is as follows: Chapter has 301 active members with 140 new members being added this year; The Chapter added 18 CPP’s, 01 PSP and 06 PCI professionals this year; 30 CPP Bootcamp sessions were conducted and 10 collaborative webinars/trainings were organized

Next, Mr. Anand Narayan Thirunagari, Country Manager (India) – Genetec Inc spoke on “Role of unified Command Centers in Operational Efficiency and Crisis Management”. This was followed by Chapter Finance & Compliance updates by Mr. Kanwar Singh Jyala, Chapter Treasurer. Road map for Certification Training Boot Camp in 2021 was delivered by Mr. Abhay Ranjan and Lt. Col Kumar Vikram Singh. Chapter volunteers were felicitated for their kind support and contribution. Chapter Executive Team of 2021 was introduced by Manish Datta as follows: Mr. Manish Datta – Chapter Chair, Mr. Diwakar Nath Pandey – Chapter Vice Chair, Mr. Harvindra Singh – Chapter Secretary, Mr. Ravi Pratap Chauhan – Chapter Treasurer

Mr. Matthew Porcelli, Co-chair of the ASIS International Global YP Community was invited to address the chapter community. Mr. Sanjay Kaushik, ARVP North, Region 13A, shared the road map of chapter activities in 2021. The AGM concluded with a vote of thanks by Manish Datta. The AGM was sponsored by Genetec Inc.
