Audit finds chinks in Delhi airport security

Defective X-ray machines, malfunctioning metal detectors, insufficient CCTV cameras – a security audit laid bare the vulnerabilities of Delhi airport, which has the capacity of handling 46 million passengers a year. The internal assessment by the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF), which is in charge of safety measures at airports across the country, has identified at least a dozen security concerns at terminal 1D that is used by domestic flights.
