Delhi Police to use 450 CCTV cameras to watch PM’s travel routes

Delhi Police will keep a hawk eye on the routes usually taken by Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s convoy in the Capital. According to sources, around 450 high-quality closed circuit cameras will be installed along these routes. The PM Security Wing of Delhi Police will be responsible for monitoring these roads. The decision to beef up the PM’s security comes in the wake of growing threat perception, sources said.

Around 12 specified daily routes of the prime minister will be under constant watch by the police, they added. Sources in the security establishment believe that this new development has added a whole new dimension to the PM’s security.
