Guard training certificates valid pan-India: MHA

The Ministry of Home Affairs has clarified that the training certificates issued to private security guards under the PSAR Act are valid nationwide. The police modernization division of MHA had been intimated by the Security Association of India that some states are refusing to accept the training certificates issued by other states.

Responding to this, the MHA issued a letter clarifying that the the PSAR Act does not restrict guards from working in other states and the training certificates are valid elsewhere. SAI President, Mr Gurcharan Singh Chauhan, has expressed his gratitude at the proactive step of the MHA in issuing the clarification, saying this would go a long way in making lives of the security guards easier.
