KSISF rolls out its first batch of Security Officers

Fourteen post-graduate and 111 undergraduate probationary police personnel of the Karnataka State Industrial Security Force (KSISF) participated in a parade at the CAR Parade Grounds recently. Overall, 192 probationers, with educational backgrounds like PUC and ITI, participated in the parade. ADGP (recruitment and training) Raghavendra H Auradkar congratulated the personnel and urged them to maintain discipline and deliver the goods without any prejudice. He urged them to maintain their health and cultivate good habits like reading and extracurricular activities.

He added that the department offers a good opportunity for police to selflessly serve the public, and urged the new personnel to utilise the opportunity.

The candidates were trained in industrial and general security, labour laws, general security management, physical training like handling lathis and arms, controlling mobs, dog and bomb squad skills, karate and yoga. They were also deputed to bandobast duty and other work for three months, said city top cop M A Saleem.
Umesh Belagaonkar, a BA graduate, bagged the all-rounder award, while R Chetan from Tumkur bagged the first in Indoor category, MN Nagaraju received the award in the outdoor category.
