International Security Ligue, an international association of the world’s largest private security companies, representing 2 million security professionals from 120 countries recently held its 37th General Assembly in Lisbon, Portugal. The Chairman of Peregrine Guarding (a Tenon Group Company), Major Manjit Rajain participated in the three-day conference.
Peregrine Guarding is the newest and among a select few members from the Indian sub-continent.

Expressing his gratitude to the Chairman of the Ligue, Maj. Manjit Rajain said, “We are proud to be a part of International Security Ligue and I am delighted to represent Peregrine Guarding, which is India’s third-largest private security company, on a global platform like this. Many of Peregrine’s core values such as keeping customers and employees first, resonate with the Ligue’s values, hence I found a natural connect with the Ligue’s member companies. Through the Ligue, I’m taking back valuable lessons from industry veterans on how as an industry we need to grow holistically, integrating the interest of all the stakeholders. I would like to thank International Security Ligue for such a warm welcome and for providing us with the opportunity to connect with the leaders of the global security fraternity. Jai Hind!”

Ligue’s Leadership Forum deliberated on challenges faced by global private security industry in raising the bar for ethical and professional standards, sustainability of its 28 company-members, and enhanced safety of its employees.

In line with the thematic concerns of the globally-attended conference, Maj. Rajain briefed the global security fraternity on practical insights from the Indian private security industry and the indispensable role it plays in securing workplaces, generating employment and developing a socially aware & productive society. During the Ligue’s session on the role and future of technology in security, Maj. Rajan shared his views on how, although the security industry has lagged when it comes to technology enablement, the momentum has now begun to pick up. He stated that technology led transformation will change the way users experience, and service providers deliver, security in the next 5 years.

Every year, the Ligue receives hundreds of member applications, but only a handful of them get accepted. The applicants get shortlisted on the parameters of excellence in service, sustainability of the company and contribution to international security. Peregrine is one of the few private security companies in India and Asia to be a member of the International Security Ligue
