PM hails the 100 crore target, interacts with private security guards at RML

India achieved the major milestone of 100 crore vaccine doses yesterday creating a unique record in the world in the battle against Covid pandemic. India’s ambitious vaccination programme had kicked off in January and touched the 1 billion dose milestone on Thursday, after a period of nine months with the private security industry playing a major role in this attempt by carrying out 100 percent vaccination of its staff at a war footing.

The prime minister also visited the vaccination centre at the Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital here after the milestone was achieved and interacted with hospital officials, staff and some of the beneficiaries.

The PM also interacted with the private security guards stationed at the hospital since the PSI has played a landmark role in this vaccination target. With major agencies including SIS India, Peregrine Guarding, G4S, APS Group and others having carried out 100 percent vaccination of its massive manpower, the PM has in the past too hailed the industry for being the flag bearers in this ambitious project. Significantly the PM yesterday too interacted with and congratulated the SIS India guards who were stationed at the RML hospital.
