Police register cases against security firms in Pune

Pune police have registered two cases against proprietors of two security firms for failing to conduct police verification of their security guards. A police team made a surprise visit to two housing societies in Rakshaknagar Phase 2 on Kharadi bypass and Vadgaonsheri to check the security arrangements, following incidents of house break-ins. Police found that the guards posted in the housing societies were not trained and their employers had allegedly violated the guidelines by not conducting the police verifications.
