G4S supports criminal justice scholarship

American International College (AIC) was recently presented with a check for the amount of $10,000 by Drew Levine, President of G4S Secure Solutions North America, to establish a scholarship programme in the Criminal Justice department within the School of Business, Arts and Sciences. Four students in their junior year will each receive $2,500. Eligible students must be Criminal Justice majors with a minimum GPA of 3.0 and evidence of extra-curricular involvement at the College or in the community. Recipients of these awards will be designated as G4S Scholars.

G4S is the world’s leading international security solutions group and provider of campus security services for AIC. In the past year, the AIC outsourced its campus security to G4S while making a significant investment in increased training, technology, and personnel.

G4S’s President Levine is based in Florida and made the trip to Springfield to present the scholarship in person. Levine rose through the ranks of the company from the time he joined the then Wackenhut Corporation in 1987 as a supervisor in the physical security department of the Miami, Florida, area office. In 2008, he was promoted to President, North America where he has responsibility for Secure Solutions USA, Secure Solutions Canada, G4S Regulated Security Solutions/G4S NSSC, its nuclear services company, and G4S Youth Services.
