G4S wins contract with major US retailer

G4S has won a new, five year, Retail Cash Solutions contract with a major US retailer. The contract will begin mobilising in the second half of 2018. Under this contract, G4S will implement and manage an integrated cash management system using G4S’s proprietary software and service model in more than 500 stores.

Ashley Almanza, Group Chief Executive Officer of G4S plc commented: “The growth of our cash management business is being driven by the significant benefits that our technology and services deliver for customers. In turn, this is providing us with a growing pipeline of opportunities in our markets across the globe.”

G4S’s cash management technology is used each day in around 7,000 retail locations across the United States, including over 5,300 in large store formats where G4S has established a leading market position in the provision of cash management technology. At the end of April 2018, G4S cash management technology was deployed in over 21,000 locations across North America, Europe, Asia and Africa. Cash is still by far the most widely used form of payment in all regions of the world and cash in circulation is growing, according to a global cash report published by G4S
