Pinkerton enters Swedish market through acquisition

Pinkerton, a global provider of corporate risk management services has entered the Swedish market with the strategic acquisition of risk and security consulting services provider Seccredo AB. Pinkerton President Jack Zahran made the announcement. Based in Stockholm, Seccredo AB helps customers prevent, control, mitigate and manage disturbances and losses across their organisation, operations and assets through service offerings like crisis management, investigations and studies, and risk management. Clients include private businesses, government agencies, and organisations across a myriad of industries—including manufacturing, energy production, telecom, food, pharmaceuticals, media, real estate, hotels and service companies, as well as in the financial sector comprising banks, securities and insurance companies.

“As the world continues to become increasingly interconnected, events happening thousands of miles away have the potential to impact business continuity and prevent business leaders from meeting their strategic goals and objectives,” said Zahran. “Seccredo AB has established a well-deserved reputation for taking decisive action and securing positive results on behalf of clients, and this acquisition will further expand Pinkerton’s global intelligence network and ensure we are proving clients with the most accurate, timely information to help them make the best decisions for their organisations.”

Seccredo AB was founded in 2004 and achieved widespread recognition that year after sending consultants to Thailand to offer Swedish citizens emergency support and assistance in locating missing family and relatives following the tsunami in Southeast Asia. The company was the only one in Northern Europe to offer practical crisis management for companies and their employees abroad in conjunction with the disaster.
