Private Security firm to hire 1,100 employees across Los Angeles

With businesses shuttered and millions out of work, one company is planning a massive hiring blitz across Los Angeles. Private security firm, Allied Universal, is looking to hire more than 1,100 security professionals and administrative staff in Southern California over the next two months.

The company is seeking temporary and regular staffers in both full-time and part-time positions. They are hiring security professionals, client and account managers, site supervisors, and for other functional roles within human resources, sales, finance and IT. Full-time employees receive medical and dental coverage, life insurance, 401(k), holidays and sick time. The interviewing process is virtual due to the coronavirus pandemic.

“Our clients, and the public at large, rely on us to keep our communities and businesses safe and secure especially during these challenging times,” said Steve Jones, Chairman and CEO of Allied Universal. “Our security professionals play a pivotal part ensuring facilities can continue business as usual and other businesses that had to close, can rest assured that their assets will remain protected.”

The company is looking for employees with superior customer services skills and security experience is a plus but not mandatory. “Our number one priority is to keep our employees safe and healthy in the workplace,” said Jones. “We have a dedicated safety team constantly monitoring all COVID-19 developments ensuring we continuously educate our employees to understand and follow the CDC guidelines.”
