The ASIS New Delhi India Chapter hosted a landmark Annual General Meeting and Conference 2025 at a renowned five-star hotel in Gurugram, marking a significant milestone in professional security leadership and collaboration. The conference attracted over 250 senior security leaders from India and overseas, representing corporates, government bodies, former defence services, retired IPS officers, law enforcement agencies, aviation, banking, critical infrastructure, cybersecurity, and emerging technology sectors.
Aligned with ASIS International’s global thought leadership, the conference addressed real, present, and future security challenges, with a strong emphasis on integrated security frameworks, intelligence sharing, organisational resilience, geopolitics, and ethical governance. The depth, relevance, and timeliness of the discussions ensured high levels of engagement throughout the event.
“The objective was clear, to bring together defence, government, and corporate leaders to deliberate on the security issues that matter today and those that will shape the future,” said Sh. Mahesh Singh Chauhan, Chairman, ASIS New Delhi India Chapter and Executive Director of the well known risk consulting firm LRC. “The standing ovation from the audience reaffirmed that our focus on real-world relevance, ethics, and collaboration strongly resonated with the security community.”
The AGM commenced with the traditional lighting of the lamp, invoking the blessings of Lord Ganesha and other deities, followed by the National Anthem. In his opening address, Mr. Mahesh Singh Chauhan warmly welcomed the attendees and acknowledged the contributions of all past Chairpersons of the ASIS New Delhi India Chapter since its inception, recognising their role in building and strengthening the ASIS community in India.
Ms. Jyotsana Bhalla, Chapter Secretary, then presented an overview of the initiatives and activities undertaken by the Chapter over the past year. Sh. Sanjay Kaushik shared insights into the vision and future roadmap of the ASIS APAC Board, outlining key priorities and growth plans. Event guest relations were seamlessly managed by the Chapter Treasurer, Ms. Garima Goswamy.
Mr. Amit Dangi, CEO of R S Hitech Security and Platinum Sponsor, spoke on the future of integrated security, highlighting the convergence of artificial intelligence, human judgement, and autonomous response systems. This was followed by Mr. Shankar Subramanian, CEO of SIS Alarm Monitoring and Response Services (part of SIS Enterprises) and Gold Sponsor, who addressed the evolving nature of insider threats, particularly in hybrid and gig workforce environments, underscoring the limitations of technology when addressing human intent.
The conference featured three high-impact panel discussions. The first panel brought together senior leaders from the armed forces, police, global banking, and the judiciary to discuss intelligence sharing, emergency response, and public–private collaboration. The second panel explored the geopolitics of artificial intelligence and national security, distinguished by strong representation from senior men and women leaders across defence, government, and multinational organisations. The third panel examined India’s roadmap towards autonomous security ecosystems by 2030, featuring perspectives from banking, private security firms, consulting organisations, and Big Four advisory experts.
During the AGM, the New Delhi Chapter Executive Committee also honoured Sh. Gurbir (GB) Singh, a past Chapter Chair and Editor of SECURITY TODAY magazine, recognising his exemplary 35 years of service to the security community and his association with ASIS India since its inception.
The AGM and Conference reaffirmed the credibility, maturity, and global outlook of the ASIS New Delhi India Chapter, which boasts the largest membership in the APAC region, with over 500 professionals. The event’s success was made possible through the invaluable support of its sponsors and partners.
