Gallagher Security has announced the appointment of Josh Arnold as its new Chief Product Officer. His role will involve steering the innovation of the company’s product portfolio, leveraging his robust experience gained in New Zealand, Europe, and the US.
Mark Junge, Chief Executive of Gallagher Security, stated that Arnold’s addition marks an exciting phase for the company amidst significant shifts and opportunities within the security sector. “I’m delighted to welcome Josh to Gallagher as Chief Product Officer. With a wealth of international experience and a passion for both product leadership and engineering, Josh brings a unique perspective to Gallagher,” Junge remarked.
Highlighting the transformative era currently enveloping the security industry, driven by rapid technological advancements and evolving customer expectations, Junge emphasised Arnold’s expertise in maintaining Gallagher’s leadership amid these changes. He noted that Arnold’s role would fortify the company’s commitment to creating innovative and secure solutions grounded in New Zealand.
Josh Arnold will oversee the teams handling the design, development, and delivery of Gallagher Security’s devices, platforms, and services. With an engineering background and more than 15 years of leadership in international product and technology organisations, Arnold is expected to harmonise customer insights and engineering excellence with a commercial perspective to keep Gallagher at the forefront of the industry.
Arnold expressed his enthusiasm about joining, stating, “Gallagher is the only true beginning to end security technology company I’ve ever encountered. We design, engineer, manufacture, test, distribute, and support every one of our security products right here in New Zealand. You can walk the floor at our Head Office and see devices coming off the line.”
Arnold noted that Gallagher’s culture and its enduring commitment to engineering excellence were significant attractions. “What attracted me most to Gallagher was its culture. There’s a deep pride in building exceptional products and a genuine belief in solving meaningful problems for customers around the world,” he stated.
He also highlighted the strategic importance of his role in 2026, given the convergence of product and technology in an AI-capable world. “In an AI-capable world, the lines between product and technology have dissolved. Customers expect systems that are intelligent, secure, intuitive, and constantly evolving. Helping Gallagher meet and exceed those expectations is an incredible opportunity,” Arnold added.
As Arnold steps into his new role during a pivotal time for the company, he acknowledged both the professional challenges and personal significance it holds. “In many ways, Gallagher embodies classic Kiwi ingenuity – practical, inventive, and confident – that has helped New Zealand compete so successfully on the global stage. For 87 years, Gallagher has exported world-class innovation to customers around the world. I’m excited to help shape the next chapter of that story,” he concluded.
