We are saddened to announce the untimely passing of Lt. Col. Narayan Kurup (Retd), a respected leader in the security and risk management community. Narayan’s distinguished career spanned decades, during which he earned wide admiration for his professionalism, integrity, and thoughtful approach to corporate security.
Narayan served as Director, SA – Corporate Security at Deutsche Bank, where he played a pivotal role in shaping security frameworks and strategies across South Asia. His experience included key leadership roles in security functions at major financial institutions, including Standard Chartered Bank, ICICI Bank, and IDFC Bank, bringing a blend of operational insight and strategic vision to the organisations he served.
Colleagues remember Narayan as a dedicated professional whose calm demeanor, clarity of thought, and respectful engagement made him a cherished partner and mentor. His ability to elevate strategic conversations and build strong working relationships earned him deep respect across industry circles.
