ASIS New Delhi Chapter hosts discussion on “Embracing Equity”

On March 22nd, 2023, ASIS New Delhi Chapter committee hosted the significant topic of the “Embracing Equity” event at Dell Technologies’ Gurgaon. The event focused on promoting equity in the workplace, particularly for women. Around 70 people attended the event, including employees and guests from various organisations.

The opening address was given by Chapter Chairman Harvindra Singh and followed by chapter updates. Announcements were done by Girish Kaushik (Chapter Secretary). For further proceedings Maj Vashitha Mehra extended her support.

The keynote speaker, Mr. Yadvinder Singh “Yudi” Jaspal, gave a powerful talk on embracing equity. He emphasised the importance of creating an inclusive workplace culture where everyone feels valued and supported. He also shared some practical tips on how individuals and organisations can promote equity in the workplace.

One of the highlights of the event was the panel discussion, where several esteemed women panellists including Divender Kaur Siddhu, Jyotsana Bhalla, Veena Gupta LLB, Kush M & Mehnaz Perveen, CCPS, shared their personal experiences with equity in the workplace.

They talked about the challenges they faced and how they overcame them. It was inspiring to hear their stories and learn from their journeys. The event also included a delicious lunch, which provided an opportunity for attendees to network and connect with each other. ASIS New Delhi Chapter committee would like to express gratitude to Dell Technologies for their hospitality and for organising this important event.
