BIS asks private security industry for recommendations on security standards

The Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) has asked the private security industry to send across a set of recommendations that they feel are a must for security products to start the process of formulating standards for security products in the country. Speaking at the FICCI organised Homeland Security 2013 seminar recently, Mr Sanjay Pant, Director of BIS, said that the BIS, which sets standards for products in the country, would like to invite these recommendations from the private security industry as a preliminary task after which the BIS would evaluate these and start the process of having standards for security products.
