CP PLUS, establishes a futuristic manufacturing facility in Andhra Pradesh

To meet the growing demand, as per the press release, CP PLUS has put up another manufacturing unit in the Kadapa District of Andhra Pradesh. With the production commencing in Q2, 2022-23, this new facility will have three times the production capability vis-à-vis the existing capacity i.e. 3Mn Surveillance units per month, which will make it amongst the world’s largest manufacturing units for surveillance products, outside China.

Reportedly, this has been integrated with the world’s latest Fuji SMT set-up and semi-robotic assembly & packaging lines. All production areas have been equipped with ESD flooring, dust free and air-conditioned environment needed to achieve the best quality of products.

The aim is to manufacture high quality products that qualify for obtaining various certifications required in tenders and by government organisations in India like RDSO, AAI, PWD, Indian Navy etc.

Mr. Aditya Khemka, the young and dynamic managing director of CP PLUS expressed his intentions to further expand the production capacities manifolds in the future. “Backed by our R&D proficiency, we have plans in action to further augment our capabilities and become many times larger than the current size to produce 6 million units per month in near future, and to make our brand more and more ‘Atma Nirbhar’ in order to accomplish our PM’s dream, and to make India truly self-reliant,” he said.

The release said that CP Plus has an additional 10 acres of land for which it has firm plans to develop facilities for backward integration and manufacture components like camera housings, Cables, and adapters among other products.

“With visible government support, we foresee exports of surveillance products taking place in the near future,” he added.

Indegenous manufacturing will result in larger employment generation for the country, especially for women, which constitute 90% of the current workforce of the brand.

Reportedly CP Plus also manufactures for other domestic and international brands, positioning it amongst the largest Indian OEMs and ODMs, and giving strong competition to Chinese companies.

In India, it can safely be counted amongst the top brands in the surveillance industry, its products have been used in public projects, securing railway and police stations, air and sea ports, government institutions, roads, and even smart cities. These days CP Plus’s publicity oriented hoardings can be seen at prominent locations at airports and other locations, with Bollywood’s leading actor, Salman Khan as its brand ambassador.

Through reliable sources it is learnt that CP PLUS is also working with the Indian government to introduce the Production Linked Incentive (PLI) scheme for the surveillance industry and also urging it to bring amendments to the Public Safety Act to further improve security for India’s citizens by leveraging technology.
