FSAI Delhi chapter to organise a musical evening in honour of Fire and Security Personnel

As a tribute to the fire and security personnel who have performed their duties over the years at great personal risk, even to the extent of laying down their lives in the line of duty, the FSAI Delhi Chapter is organising a musical evening at Siri Fort Auditorium in New Delhi on April 19, 2015.

The event has been organised to coincide with the Fire Service Week that is held annually from April 14-20 every year. FSAI has invited senior members of the security and fire safety industry along with their spouses for the evening that promises to provide a dash of nostalgia, with a group performing old Bollywood hits to enthral the expected 400 plus gathering.

This is the first time that such an event has been organised in New Delhi. The performing group comprises a band of non-professional musicians from different professions who have formed a band called Sur Sadhna and have in the past attracted appreciation. The Chief Guest at the Event will be Mr. D K Shami, Fire Adviser – Govt. of India & the Guest of Honour will be Mr. A K Sharma, Director Delhi Fire Service. SECURITY TODAY is the media partner for the event. The event will also witness a change of guard at the National level and in the Delhi Chapter of FSAI.

Mr Ashish Talwar, Secretary FSAI Delhi Chapter, said that he expects an overwhelming response from the security and fire safety industry for the event that is primarily to thank the fire and security personnel who go unrecognized in spite of having performed their duties over the years.
