SIS Group partners with Civil Defence to train thousands for National Crisis Preparedness

In a significant move towards strengthening India’s national readiness and internal security capabilities, SIS Group Enterprises, a leader in security, cash logistics, and facility management services, has signed a strategic Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Ministry of Home Affairs – Civil Defence. This landmark partnership marks a new chapter in public-private collaboration for national emergency preparedness.

Under the terms of the MoU, SIS Group will work closely with Civil Defence authorities to train and upskill SIS frontline personnel across 244 districts in India. The training will focus on disaster response, civil defence drills, and crisis-handling techniques, ensuring that SIS teams can effectively support local administration and emergency services during natural disasters, man-made crises, and even war-like scenarios.

Speaking on the development, a senior official from SIS Group stated:
“This partnership reflects our deep-rooted commitment to national service. We believe that our large and disciplined workforce, once equipped with formal civil defence training, can serve as a force multiplier in times of national emergencies.”

The Civil Defence wing under the Ministry of Home Affairs plays a crucial role in protecting civilian populations during emergencies, promoting community awareness, and building grassroots disaster management capabilities. By aligning with a professionally managed private sector entity like SIS Group, Civil Defence aims to enhance its operational outreach and preparedness.

Founded in 1974, SIS Group Enterprises is one of Asia-Pacific’s largest security services providers, with over 2.5 lakh employees. The company has consistently supported national causes and humanitarian efforts, leveraging its extensive presence across urban and rural India.

This collaboration is not just a corporate social responsibility initiative but a strategic step towards building a more resilient, responsive, and future-ready internal security and disaster management framework. By proactively preparing its workforce to respond to crises, SIS Group is setting a precedent for how private sector expertise can be harnessed for national safety and resilience.

As India continues to face evolving risks—from natural disasters to security threats—this MoU symbolizes a forward-thinking approach where government and industry come together to safeguard lives, enhance readiness, and serve the nation better.
